Free lunch? Yes, there is an offer out there. A restaurant in Farringdon, UK, sign a post outside said “No Food bills; pay us what you think our food is worth”. It is a test of one’s dignity and honesty. They will not set the price of the meal; instead, you rate it and decided how much their food worth. They charge you the drinks only.
This is a new gimmick and marks the new age of splendid restaurant. Under the recession, the bankers, top management high pay group flee; they shift their target customers and dare to offer in order to survive.
There, a three courses meal at 15pounds, how much does it cost in RMB (CNY)? It is about $146 (According to today’s rate, click the here for details).
Referring to the article, “there are 141 restaurants went bankrupt in the last three months of last year, and the trend is likely to intensify this year.”
The restaurant is hoping to build the good will between customers and expecting their returns. They believe to serve exceed value of food and good service would impress the diners helping the survival in the turmoil, for those who are playing fair game will soon be vanished in the competitions.

This type of resturants would find themselves very popular if they dare to open in China…Even MacDonald’s can’t beat them! Only one question remains: how long can they go?
